Day 16-Monday
Today Kaycee and I went shopping for cupcake ingredients. We are going to Nana's tomorrow to celebrate a few birthdays and anniversaries. While we checked out, Kaycee offered a hand and bagged our groceries for the cashier. Then we came home and she made Cherry Lemonade cupcakes from scratch! We can't wait to share them with our family tomorrow!
Day 15-Sunday
Today the kids cleaned up trash at the park on our walk again. We just did this a few days ago. It's amazing how much trash gets on one little play ground in such a short amount of time. I am glad they are doing their part to keep the park clean. Not sure what it would look like it they weren't going to clean it up.
Day 14-Saturday
Today we tried to be courteous everywhere we went and open doors for people, even if that meant waiting a few extra seconds to enter a store while we waited for them to get to the door. We got many thank yous for doing this. Some of the places we did this were Ross, Ulta, and Chick-fil-a.

Day 13-Friday
While Karleigh was gone on vacation, her bike was stolen off of our porch. With a little help from some great community friends, we found out that the police had found it dumped. As soon as we found out, we went to pick it up. So today, Karleigh really wanted to thank the police officer that found her bike and kept it safe for her. She made a card and cookies and we delivered them. They were so sweet up there too her and she was glad to say thank you in such a sweet way.
Day 12-Thursday
Tonight we went for a walk as a family. When we walked over by our neighborhood park, there was trash everywhere! There were water bottles, food bags, and just other trash in general. We all 5 chipped in and in no time, it was all cleaned up. The kids took the intuitive to do it! I was so proud of them.
Day 11
Today Kaycee went to Buckner warehouse in Dallas. She helped pair shoes up with rubber bands, then they put Godly messages in the shoes. They then had to sort them by size and gender. She had a great time doing God's work for the needy.

Day 10
Kaycee ran out of Act1V8 today so excited to share her RAK with me. I loved the excitement! She told me that her group went to Walmart to shop for the food pantry. While they were there, a man pushing a buggy bumped a stack of items and they all toppled over. At first she wasn't going to go help because she thought she might get it trouble for leaving her group, but she decided it was worth it. She went over and assisted the man to get it all stacked back up. The man politely thanked her and then she went back to her group. I am so glad she is reaching out to others on her own :-)
Also, Karleigh came home today and told me all about helping my cousin with her baby this week. Tessa is 10 months old and Karleigh helped feed her and take care of her. She was so proud of herself, and I am so glad she is home. I missed her!

Day 9
Kaycee is doing a church camp this week called Act1V8, so she will be doing alot of our RAK's this week. This weekend she collected 3 pair of shoes to bring that will be donated to Buckner Shoe Warehouse. She actually got 2 more pair today, so she will bring those in the morning.
At camp, they made care packages for World Vision. She said it was mostly toiletry stuff. Below is a picture that was taken today of someone else packing a package, not Kaycee :-)

Day 8
We were able to deliver our last plate of cupcakes today. It was a great day for the family that got them because their daughter had been baptised the same morning! Praise God!

Day 7
Last night Kaycee made Red Velvet cupcakes for our neighbors, but it was late, so her and Kyler handed them out today. They gave cupcakes to 4 neighbors, we had enough for 5, but one wasn't home. They even delivered them in the rain!
Day 6
Today Kyler had Bible study at church. There was a new boy there named Riley and Kyler helped him out. He showed him where the classroom was, he rode to lunch with him, and he sat with him at Taco Bueno. I am glad to see that he is being kind even when I am not around :-)

Day 5
Today I took Kyler, his friend, and Kaycee swimming. There was a little girl there that Kaycee warmed right up to and played with for about an hour while her mom layed out. Her name was Riley and she was 3. Kaycee was so sweet to her. They played games and Kaycee showed her some water tricks. It was so sweet to just sit back and watch her with that little girl. She will be a great baby sitter one day!

Day 4
Today we had a very lazy day. It was a holiday, so we just hung out at home. We were busy packing my 6 year old for her "6 year old summer trip with nana." Each time one of my mom's grandkids turn 6, she helps them plan out an awesome vacation and then that summer they go! They leave tomorrow to go the TN for a week of swimming, horse back riding, pedicures, fashion show and so much more! Just 11 short months ago my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was not doing well :-( By the grace of God she is doing fantastic and is well enough to take her last grandchild on their dream vacation. We are so blessed that God has allowed her to do this.
So when we went to watch the fireworks, we realized we hadn't left the house, and so we hadn't done our RAK. The kids decided to walk around the parking lot while we waited and they picked up trash. Happy Birthday USA!

Day 3
Today we wanted to give the garbage men a cold drink since it's like 100 degrees outside! We put bottles of water in the freezer to get them nice and cold for them. When we heard them enter the neighborhood , the girls and a neighbor friend of ours, sat on the porch and waited for them to get to our house so they could give them the drinks. The men were so gracious and grateful for the refreshing drink.

Day 2
Today Kaycee and I went to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner. At the check out, the lady asked if we would like to donate $1 to MDA. Sadly, this is something I don't ever do :-(, but Kaycee quickly answered yes and it made my heart smile! So she got to put her name on the MDA paper that they hang up.
Then we went to the water filling station and left a baggie of quarters with a note saying "Enjoy this random act of kindness."

Day 1
Today we were able to bless the Painter Family. My friend, neighbor, and co worker is due with her first baby boy, JT, in just 2 days! The kids and I were able to purchase some 2nd hand clothing for the baby. We delivered it to her washed and folded and ready to put away (she said the already washed and folded was here favorite part!) The 2 bags were stuffed full of about 60 articles of clothes! We can't wait to meet this precious baby in the next week.
Project 365? What's that?
My family and I have been inspired recently by a friend, who was inspired by a friend of her's, to do more Random Acts of Kindness. Now both of the above mentioned ladies jammed packed a day or two with some really fun and neat RACs. When my family sat down and discussed how we might be able to bless a list of people in a day or two, we decided it would be more fun, and I think more challenging, to bless 1 person each day for 365 days. Some of what we do will be random, some more intentional. Some we will do as a family, and some will be from just one of us, but at the end of each day when we say our prayers, we want to be able to know that we touched the life of at least one person outside of our own 4 walls.
Please know that we are not sharing this blog with you to boast in our own doings, but to let His light shine through us to those around us and to hopefully inspire someone else as we were inspired.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
So here we are starting the journey or our Project 365...
